TerraNova series (2023)

Reinhold Bogaard arranged the visual material of twenty-three 35mm slides from the Slide installation TerraNova into twelve compositions of overlapping images. Made in risoprint technique (petroleum, rice oil, glycerol, pigment, alkyd resin) on Biotop paper as a series of twelve. The entire series was produced in a limited edition of twelve multiples. These are for sale both as a complete series and in individual copies. With riso printing, every print is always a little different.

The TerraNova series is exhibited as part of a group exhibition in the old Harculo power plant near Zwolle in the context of the Nevengeul programme of IJsselbiënnale 2023. The exhibition can be seen from June 17 to September 17, 2023.

The images are derived from locations near and far from the IJssel. Ruine Nijenbeek, close to Deventer, is present, but also opencast mining just across the border as well as typical Dutch new construction (Vinex). These are mixed into twelve different prints that have a mutual rhythmic cohesion.

Each element bears the coding of the slides from which the image is composed as its name. The images below are the riso prints without a frame.

TerraNova serie (2023)

Reinhold Bogaard arrangeerde het beeldmateriaal van tweeëntwintig kleinbeeld diapositieven uit de Dia-installatie TerraNova tot twaalf composities van elkaar overlappende beelden. Uitgevoerd in risoprint techniek (petroleum, rijstolie, glycerol, pigment, alkydhars) op Biotop papier in een serie van twaalf. De hele serie is in een gelimiteerde oplage van twaalf exemplaren gemaakt. Deze zijn zowel als gehele serie als in losse exemplaren te koop. Bij riso printen is iedere afdruk telkens weer een beetje anders.

De TerraNova serie wordt geëxposeerd als onderdeel van een groepstentoonstelling in de oude energiecentrale Harculo nabij Zwolle in het kader van het Nevengeul programma van de IJsselbiënnale 2023. De expositie is te zien van 17 juni t/m 17 september 2023.

De beelden zijn afkomstig van locaties zowel dichtbij als ver van de IJssel. Ruïne Nijenbeek, vlakbij Deventer, is aanwezig, maar ook bruinkool dagbouw, net over de grens, en typerend Nederlandse nieuwbouw (Vinex). Deze worden vermengd tot twaalf verschillende afbeeldingen die onderling een ritmische samenhang hebben.

Ieder element draagt de codering van de dia’s waaruit de afbeelding is samengesteld als naam. De afbeeldingen hieronder zijn de risoprints zonder lijst.
